ABOUT US

Here at The Explorer Within, we explore abandoned places in England, mainly in the South West in the county Dorset. We purely go to these places out of interest and to add articles for the public to read and learn about the abandoned sites around England. Whenever we explore any site we research it before hand and take the appropriate equpiment. We are cautious when we explore and we make sure not to destroy anything and we never break things intentionally. We, as explorers, are dedicated to the preservation of sites that are abandoned, so we make sure to leave everything how he found it.

Have a look around our site and read the articles on places that intrest you. If you have any questions feel free to contact us through the contact page. We will get back to you as soon as possible.

Millitary Laboratories
Holton Heath, Dorset.

The laboratories are busier than you might think. Graffiti everywhere and every room being a great picture opportunity. One of my favourite abandoned sites so far. Take a look!

Royal Naval Cordite Factory (RNCF)
Holton Heath, Dorset.

The RNCF is a great site to explore. You will genuinley be surprised with what you find here. A lot of the places are pitch black and unfortunatley the main reservoir is flooded and closed off with welding and locks. Take a look!

The Mess Facilities
Isle of Portland, Dorset.

This facility, although unbuilt, remains to be a memorable exploring opportunity. Having no idea as to what is was, the only option was to explore it. What we found was interesting. Take a look!

East Weare Batteries - DISTEX
Isle of Portland, Dorset.

The East Weare Batteries on Portland were incredible to explore. You could see clear remains of previous exercises that had taken place in this area from bullet casings to airsoft pellets and fake decoys. Take a look!
